May 20, 2020 - Governor Cooper has signed Executive Order 141 to further ease restrictions, starting with Phase 2 in NC. Effective May 22nd at 5pm, the State will enter a "SAFER AT HOME" recommendation, restaurants will operate at 50%, Short Term Rentals are allowed at 50%, and Personal Care businesses may operate at 50% Mass gatherings are limited to 10 people indoors, and 25 people outdoors. Playgrounds and fitness areas remain closed. The EO can be viewed below on the red ALERTS button. The Town will continue to suspend disconnections to customers of water service for non-payment thru July 29th, per NC Governor Cooper's EO 142 (A link to EO 142 is on the red ALERTS button). Late penalities will not be applied; this excludes other administrative fees such as 48 hour notice fee, Data Log, OPC Convenience fee, NSF fee, or water tap fee.
